Here in northwestern Wyoming, we had some teasing windless days of sunshine and temperatures above 40 F at the beginning of March. I was further lulled into a sense of impending Spring during a visit to Zion National Park a few weeks ago where it was sunny and in the 60’s and 70’s F! But alas, it has returned to cloudy, snowy days just above freezing, which leads to heavy snow, muddy paths, and a longing for summer. I took the below photo on the night of March 3rd after an entire month of snow and clouds. This was the most snow there was this winter (so far…), where the banks on either side of the path to my cabin went up to my shoulders.
