I’m excited to announce a new project that I’ve been working on: Mainely Phenology, a 3-5 minute radio program that airs every Saturday morning at 8:30 EST on WERU-FM. You can listen to this program when it airs at 89.9FM near Blue Hill, ME or 99.9FM near Bangor, ME or you can listen online or download the program afterwards at weru.org. The program is an audio calendar of the Maine outdoors where my co-writer Joe Horn and I share what’s happening in nature each week and focus on specific species and concepts that you can observe outdoors in hopes that you’ll become just a little more curious about the natural world.
I invite you to head over to the Mainely Phenology blog here and follow us–especially if you have enjoyed my posts on Partridge, Pine, and Peavey. I’ll still post here, just not as frequently as I have in the past. In fact, in the near future I’ll be posting about my experience with dyeing wool with juniper on Partridge, Pine, and Peavey so stay tuned!
